Fort Lauderdale behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL.  FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.  On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center.

FLBHC is seeking a Per Diem Dietary Aide to join our team:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for, but not exclusive of,  assisting the cook staff with the safe and sanitary preparation of the patients and facility staff  meals, ensuring the cafeteria and dining room remain clean at all times, assisting in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, operating the dish machine, stocking and the distribution of snacks on each unit as required.

  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

Certification:

Knowledge and Skills:

  •  Knowledge of basic special diets.
  • Proper food portion and waste control.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and utensil, and skill in utilizing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and patients.
  • Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
