Job description

The Mail Fulfillment Operator runs mail processing equipment for the company's in-house print shop includes setting up and monitoring equipment, as well as quality checking the finished products. This role is responsible for high-quality, on-time work with accurate piece counts for fulfillment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and motivated to complete tasks efficiently in a high-volume fulfillment environment. This role is required onsite at our Richardson, TX location. 2 shifts available: 6am-3pm or 11am-8pm
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate mail inserting equipment.
• Read and interpret job tickets to determine the type of work to be done, the quantities to be produced, and the materials needed.
• Complete jobs in priority order and ensure adherence to turnaround times, deadlines, and service levels.
• Continually monitor quality and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Follow quality control standards.
• Prepare mail for delivery to post office and/or third-party delivery services with correct labels and packaging.
• Track piece counts and ensure QR code tracking software is updated and accurate.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
• Replenish and stock mail supplies in the work area.
• Conduct mail supply inventory and notify supervisor of upcoming shortage.
• Provide a high-level of customer service and professionalism when interacting with vendors and team members.
Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience operating mail inserting equipment and in an in-house fulfillment operation.
• Demonstrated experience with high-speed equipment with attention to detail and focus on quality control.
• Experience with job ticketing/work order system and the ability to manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and fluctuating demand with calm competence.
• Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to emerging technologies.
Physical / Environmental Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move materials/equipment as needed (reasonable accommodations available).
• Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds, and move supplies around the building.
• Comfortable working in a production environment with printers, finishing equipment, and shipping supplies.
• May be required to cover some shifts on occasion that are outside normal business hours.
