About the Role
As a CBRE Mail Services Associate, you will be responsible for all aspects of the mailroom operations for a building or campus. This role is part of the Office Operations function, which is dedicated to providing essential office support to clients, business functions, or individual contributors.
What You'll Do
- Audit all delivered items against delivery invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect deliveries and approve or reject them, checking for contraband as per established procedures.
- Ensure that all received and delivered packages arrive on the same day or effectively communicate next-day arrival information to the consignee.
- Execute daily schedules for distributing mail, packages, copy products, and stationery to assigned groups or locations.
- Guarantee that all outbound packages are properly protected against damage during shipment.
- Process shipment requests with external vendors and inform package owners of the arrangements made.
- Accurately apply the correct postage amounts and necessary identification to all outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain and stock copy rooms, serving as the initial point of contact for copier fleet production inquiries.
- Conduct daily checks of mail and postage supplies, replenishing them as needed.
- Address common inquiries and complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors with professionalism, effectively presenting information to internal groups.
- Gather and analyze data to identify and resolve complex problems, often in situations with little to no precedent, and may propose new techniques.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks for carriers such as UPS and FedEx, including freight receiving and pallet handling.
- Transport parcels from the shipping/receiving location to various points across the campus.
- Operate sit-down forklifts and Raymond stand-up reach trucks.
- Potentially drive for deliveries as required.
- Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
- Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
- Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
