Welcome to Jobs for Ohio's Graduates our mission is to help youth complete their education and successfully transition to employment at a livable wage or post-secondary job training.

The organization will further facilitate the advancements of its clients through a planned program that targets high school opportunity students regarding graduation and/or making a successful transition to work. This program includes life skills, communication, and workforce development training, planned summer activities, and youth work experience opportunities throughout the program year. It also features a 12-month follow-up for all program participants that includes monthly contact and career/post-secondary placement services.

As a Workforce Development Specialist in our Summit County office, you will:

â—Ź Assist youth to successfully transition to employment while collectively aiding in barrier removal and goal achievement.

â—Ź Competency instruction, promote the goals of JOG, and facilitate compliance to JOG's standards and objectives.

â—Ź Assess participant needs, develop their skill set, provide mentorship, and track/document progress while working collaboratively with all members of the JOG team to determine best practices for participants.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with youth is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Available to work 8:00 - 4:30, Monday - Friday.
  • Primary work location in Youngstown / Warren / Mahoning Valley Ohio.
  • This is a year-round position.
  • Local daytime travel is occasionally required within a five-county radius.
  • Computer skills include MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Online database management systems.
