About the Role The Global Electronics Association's Publishing Group is seeking a skilled, creative, and curious Magazine Layout Designer to work part‐time (PT) as an independent contractor, laying out two digital magazines each month, and possibly occasional special layout projects.

This role will be responsible for organizing and designing the layout of our electronics industry trade magazines, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines and creating an appeal that captivates our technically focused business audience. Responsibilities Digital layout of two monthly magazines, approximately 100 pages each and meet deadlines. Collaborate with our team to understand the magazine's content and objectives.

Organize and arrange provided content in a visually appealing and engaging manner. Create layouts that adhere to our brand guidelines and enhance the overall aesthetic with appeal to our audience in the electronics industry. Utilize your expertise in design, typography, and composition to create a captivating visual experience for readers.

Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality throughout the design process. Requirements 3+ years Digital Magazine Layout Experience; formal Graphic Design education a plus. Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and PDF.

Work collaboratively with staff members, through Cloud tools when working toward deadlines. Strong understanding of layout design principles and best practices. Works well to deadlines.

Excellent eye for design, typography, and composition; detail-oriented. Demonstrated ability to bring creativity, curiosity, and professionalism to magazine layouts. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.

Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and ideas, and to provide feedback and troubleshoot with direct manager and team members in a constructive, respectful manner. Stable, high‐speed internet connection is imperative to perform this job; Apple computer and MacOS proficiency are significant pluses. This is a part‐time contractor position that will require approximately 20 hours/week.
