Job description

Overview
Boyne Mountain Resort hosts some of the most memorable events in Northern Michigan - weddings, corporate gatherings, celebrations of all kinds - and behind every one of them is a banquets team that executes flawlessly. As a Dishwasher on our Conventions & Banquets team, you're an essential part of making that happen. When hundreds of guests sit down to a perfectly set table, it's because someone made sure every plate, glass, and piece of silverware was spotless and ready to go. That someone is you.
If you're looking to get your foot in the door of a dynamic food and beverage operation and learn what it takes to run large-scale events at a premier resort, this is a great place to start. Everything we do at Boyne Mountain is guided by our core values - L.E.A.D.S.: Long-Term Thinking, Excellence in Execution, Attitude is Everything, Develop Great People, and Serve First. You'll bring those values to your station every shift.
As a Boyne Mountain team member, there are so many awesome perks for you to take advantage of, such as: ski passes, golf passes, waterpark passes, and discounts for food, beverages, retail, daycare, and so much more! Responsibilities
  • Excellence in Execution - Rinse, scrub, and wash all dishes, silverware, and cookware by hand or through the dish machine - and ensure every item is cleaned thoroughly and stored in its proper place. Set up and monitor the dish machine to keep it running correctly throughout service.
  • Long-Term Thinking - Keep drains, disposals, and sinks clear and functioning. Sweep and mop kitchen floors, wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other kitchen surfaces, and remove garbage to designated areas - maintaining a clean, organized environment that sets the whole team up for a strong shift.
  • Serve First - In a banquets kitchen, the pace is fast and the stakes are high. Your work supports every cook, server, and event coordinator on your team - when your station runs well, the whole event runs well.
  • Attitude is Everything - Banquets and conventions run on tight timelines and big expectations. Show up ready, stay focused, and take pride in a role that makes a real difference in the guest experience - even if guests never see your station directly.
  • Follow all health regulations and assist in maintaining a fully sanitary kitchen environment at all times.

Qualifications
  • You are at least 16 years old.
  • You're available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You're comfortable on your feet for long periods of time and able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • You're dependable, hardworking, and take pride in keeping things clean and running smoothly.
  • You're curious about the restaurant industry and excited to learn and grow in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
