Oxford Commons is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for continuous improvement, and a desire to develop under a knowledgeable mentoring team.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner

  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the restaurant

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring safety and sanitation standards

  • Properly use and maintain all kitchen equipment

  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas

  • Safely operate a commercial dish machine and manage the use of cleaning chemicals

  • Restock supplies and move efficiently between active cook lines

  • Complete cleaning and organizing duties accurately and on time

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Kitchen Manager

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife handling skills

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures

  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment
