Northwest Equipment Sales, Inc., a Heavy-Duty Truck & Trailer Dealership (Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks, and Kalmar Ottawa Terminal Tractors) is seeking a Full-Time Semi Truck & Trailer Salesperson for its facility in Tri-Cities, WA (Burbank next to Pasco, WA). Wages are $65,000 - $45,000 per year Base Salary + Commission based upon experience, knowledge, and skill level. Having a current CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus.

Position Summary

The Truck & Trailer Salesperson is responsible for handling new and used equipment along with related trailer products. This role manages the full sales cycle and serves as a trusted advisor to customers in over-the-road, vocational, and terminal operations. The position requires strong product knowledge, relationship management skills, and the ability to align equipment solutions with customer business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and grow sales of Mack and Volvo trucks (on-highway and vocational) and Ottawa terminal tractors
  • Prospect new customers including fleets, owner-operators, agricultural, construction, and distribution/warehouse operations
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive repeat and fleet business
  • Manage a pipeline of new and used truck, trailer, and terminal tractor opportunities

Customer Consultation & Equipment Solutions

  • Evaluate customer operations and recommend the appropriate:
  • Mack models (e.g., Anthem, Granite, Pinnacle)
  • Volvo models (e.g., VNL, VNR, VHD)
  • Ottawa terminal tractors for yard/port/warehouse use
  • Assist customers with spec’ing trucks for fuel efficiency, duty cycle, and compliance (emissions, weight, etc.)
  • Present financing, leasing, and total cost of ownership (TCO) solutions
  • Prepare quotes, bids, and purchase agreements
  • Negotiate pricing and close deals while maintaining target margins

OEM Product Knowledge & Industry Expertise

  • Maintain current knowledge of:
  • Mack and Volvo product lines, features, and warranty programs
  • Ottawa/Kalmar terminal tractor applications
  • Emissions standards and regulatory requirements
  • Stay informed on industry trends, fuel efficiency advancements, and fleet optimization strategies
  • Educate customers on service intervals, uptime programs, and operational benefits

  • Work closely with:
  • Sales management on pricing and strategy
  • Service and parts departments to support customer uptime
  • Finance partners on lease/loan structuring
  • Coordinate delivery timelines, inspections, and customer handoff

Requirements:

Qualifications

Required
