Utilize drill presses, manual milling machines and lathes, sanders, and other hand and powered tools.
Support prototype development activities, working with mechanical design engineers on the manufacturability of prototype machined parts and assemblies relative to form, fit and function and based on the shops capabilities.
Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision-measuring instruments.
Inspects work for conformance to specifications.
May set-up and make irst-article check on difficult production runs. May prepare recommendations for improvements in methods or processes relative to improved productivity and quality.
Experience with CNC punch presses, CNC brakes, and shears is desired. Fabricated metal finishing, painting or powder coating experience a plus.
