About The Opportunity
Assistant Operator is responsible for assisting with and/or operating machinery to cut out parts of specified size and shape from corrugated board and properly offloading and inspecting finished material.Pay Rate:$24-30/hr depending on department
Work Hours:Day & Night Shift Available
6AM-6PM OR 6PM-6AM
3-2-2-3 Schedule
Entry Level Welcome! Willing to Train!
Essential Functions:
Operatemachine to cut out parts of specified size and shape from corrugated board.
Review andunderstand job ticket information todeterminequantity, special instructions, and customer requirements
Stack off finished bundles and feed sheets into the machine
Prepare paperwork and bottom slip sheets for each other
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Repair orassistmaintenance in the repair of machines as necessary
Fill informachine operators during their absence
Check finished products for quality per customer specifications
Activelyparticipatein Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuousimprovementefforts
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform all dutiesin accordance withcompany safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:
Safety-sensitive position: ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Ability to stand, sit, kneel and bend over for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly if necessary
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs
Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
Ability to effectively work in teams
Ability to work in aproduction-basedenvironment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Ability to read a tape measure/ruler
Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
