The Apple Machine Translation team is building the groundbreaking technology that enables connecting people across language barriers. We are looking for exceptional Software Engineers passionate about delighting customers’ experiences and pushing the envelope on Machine Learning, Embedded, and Distributed Computing.
Description
You will be primarily responsible for developing our low-level frameworks and services that connect state-of-the-art Machine Learning models and inference engines to the variety of Translation experiences across all of our platforms! You will be working with many partner teams including Asset delivery, Phone/FaceTime and Messages.
To succeed in this role, you are a strong programmer and a creative problem solver who enjoys learning new things. You are passionate about developing new features, maintaining existing code, fixing bugs, and contributing to overall system design. You are a great teammate who thrives in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years development experience with Objective-C
Experience with Swift & SwiftUI
Project Leadership
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years development experience with Objective-C
Experience in object-oriented software design and programming
Framework-level programming including multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication
Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills
Strong testing discipline
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of industrial working experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
