Job description

The Steel Machinist is responsible for the translation of company goals into production as it relates to the Steel Department by achieving required turn-over in time and quality
We are looking for a successful experienced steel machinist with the ability and knowledge to perform the following:
• Machine steel and other metal parts according to drawings and/or customer's instructions
• Set up grinding or metal cutting machines and/or load.
• Use measuring tools to inspect work and set up machines.
• Fit fabricated steel items
Experience:
• Ability to use lathes, mills, and/or grinders
• Create fixtures to complete jobs
• Obtain 1st Article for every job
• Maintain coolant (water) level daily
• Strong technical understanding of Machining, lathe, grinding, and CNC knowledge.
• 3+ years of professional experience in steel machining
• Fundamental understanding of GD&T.
• Other duties as assigned.
