Job description

ISCAR METALS, INC., a dynamic and innovative cutting tool company, has an immediate opening for a Technical Applications/Sales Representative for the eastern Florida area.

Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years machining & industrial sales experience but we are always willing to train the right individual that has a “can do” attitude. CNC programming experience and a college degree (engineering/industrial focus) is a plus.


JOB SUMMARY

The Sales & Applications Representative is responsible for increasing Iscar Metal’s cutting tool market share in an assigned territory through the application support of cutting tools and their related accessories. A successful Sales & Applications Representative will possess a strong technical background in the metal removal industry with a heavy emphasis on cutting tool application and process optimization. Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills are also imperative for success in this position.


DEFINTIONS

End User – Location where machining is present (machine shop)

Distributor – Industrial supply company authorized to sell and service Iscar products in the territory

Territory – Defined by the Company as a geographic area or by specific End User


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Present Iscar product value to the End User.

• Maintain positive business relationships with both Distributors and End Users through continual improvement of the overall Iscar experience.

• Gain the End User’s confidence and become their primary point of contact for sales related issues regarding cutting tools.

• Grow market share within the assigned territory. If the territory is shared, communicate and coordinate with other representatives to achieve growth.

• Accomplish sales goals as assigned by the Regional Manager.

• Continuously improve knowledge of Iscar products on self-serve basis (via Iscar provided information) and share this knowledge with Distributors and End Users through product presentation and promotional material.

• Document End User test results in the Iscar provided software tool.

• Convey projected cost saving analysis as determined by operations in order to support sales activities, and obtain an understanding the ongoing effectiveness of those savings from End Users in order to further promote sales.

• Timely completion of administrative tasks related to sales activities (Trunk Stock, Expenses, Call Reports, etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: WORK EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Diverse background in metal removal processes with a minimum of three years’ experience in a relevant manufacturing/engineering field preferred

• Working knowledge of various materials and their machinability preferred

• Ability to interpret and communicate production documents, optimize production strategy, and apply tooling in a manner that will lead to greater sales conversions

• Effective verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on the ability to successfully translate technical knowledge into effective sales presentations

• Self-Motivated, Ethical, and Dependable

• Interpersonal skills capable of coordinating expectations with all relevant parties in the supply chain in order to facilitate optimum sales relationships

• Bilingual (English / Spanish)

• International travel required
