Job Description:

L3Harris Missile Solutions is in need of a Senior Specialist, Precision Machining Projects within the Metal Products Capacity Team. The Senior Specialist will lead new supplier development and foster strategic partnerships. The candidate will need to have supply chain project management knowledge with an emphasis on precision machining. Role requires excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects. Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional personnel, customers, and suppliers to ensure successful development of new sources. Previous experience in metal, machining or raw/rare earths is a plus. Candidate is expected to quickly become an expert in the metal products supply chain and raw/rare earths market.ย  This opportunity requires 20% travel.

Essential Functions:

  • Assess metal products, precision machining, and raw material supply base to create strategies that support DoD programs.
  • Support the development and execution of critical precision machining projects across multiple Munition Acceleration Committee (MAC) focused programs and other programs identified for growth by the business.
  • Manage budgets associated with capacity projects.
  • 20% travel required to supplier locations (could be some international travel as needed).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant machining experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related machining experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related machining experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Supply Chain experience in precision machining, rare earth minerals, castings & forgings.
  • Graduate degree or focus on supply chain preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering.
  • Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products, as well as MRP/ERP system knowledge.
  • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actions.
  • The ability to lead meetings, develop presentation packages and report project earn value variances.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C.ย area, Denver, or NYC areas is $84,000.00 - $156,000.00. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $73,000.00 - $135,000.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
