Adecco is currently hiring a Machine Shop Assistant for our manufacturing client in Victor, NY! This hands-on role supports machining and production operations by assisting with equipment operation, material handling, assembly, finishing, and quality inspections.
Shift: M-F 6am-230pm
Pay: $20–$25/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with operating machine shop equipment, including manual lathes, saws, cutters, and related tools
Load and unload materials and parts from machines
Perform deburring, cleaning, finishing, and assembly of components
Inspect parts and verify dimensions using measuring tools
Move raw materials and finished products using appropriate equipment
Support shipping, receiving, inventory, and other shop functions as needed
Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Experience using power tools and shop equipment preferred
Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience a plus
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed
Must possess the visual acuity required for machining and inspection tasks
