JOB SUMMARY:

The Machine Shop Technician, reporting to the Engineering Manager, plays a crucial role on our manufacturing team by operating CNC machines to fulfill machining work orders. This role contributes directly to production requirements and demands precision, craftsmanship, and adherence to safety protocols. The Machine Shop Technician will have the opportunity to expand their technical skills through cross-training on various machines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate CNC machines to produce machined components according to dimensional drawings and blueprints.
  • Maintain high levels of attention to detail and craftsmanship in all work assignments.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a quick ability to learn new skills.
  • Uphold machine shop and manufacturing safety practices at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Exhibit dependability and a strong work ethic in a minimum 40-hour work week.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
  • Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks while standing throughout the day.
  • Utilize basic Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and email skills to support documentation.
  • Embrace problem solving and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in reading and understanding dimensional drawings and blueprints.
