Location: Willis Tx 77318
Pay Rate: $17–$18/hour
Schedule- Monday-Friday 5:30am- 6pm (slow days 7am- 5pm) Must be able to work Saturdays, Saturdays will be half days


Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level or experienced Shop Helper / Shop Technician for a position in Willis area. MWD shop experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should have basic mechanical knowledge and be comfortable using hand and power tools to assemble and disassemble components.

Experience working with mud motors or similar equipment is required. This position will assist with shop operations, equipment maintenance, tool inventory, cleaning, and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble MWD components using specialized barrel wrenches.
  • Use basic hand and power tools, including torches to heat components.
  • Use a volt meter for basic electrical testing.
  • Assist with inventory and organization of toolboxes.
  • Operate a forklift as needed; forklift experience is a plus but not required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Assist with various shop duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Follow all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Be available for on-call duty approximately one week per month.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level candidates
  • MWD shop experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with mud motors or similar equipment is required.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be dependable and safety-conscious.
  • Forklift experience is a plus; training will be provided as needed.

Required Work Attire- Steel Toe boots, work pants.
