2.1 Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the machine shop, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
2.2 Plan, assign, and oversee the work of machinists and support staff to meet production schedules and deadlines.
2.3 Monitor workflow, machine usage, and material availability to ensure optimal shop floor efficiency.
2.4 Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards at all times.
2.5 Train and mentor team members in machining techniques, equipment operation, and safety practices.
2.6 Troubleshoot machining and production issues, working with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams as needed.
2.7 Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accuracy in production.
2.8 Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of parts.
2.9 Organize, maintain, and update the machine shop schedule to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of parts.
2.10 Drive continuous improvement efforts in productivity, quality, and safety through lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving.
