Shop Foreman

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The “essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Essential functions are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person assigned to this position is held accountable.

As a Shop Foreman at Titan Solutions, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for managing efficient workflow within the shop and field services. We are looking for a leader to help manage workflow and technicians in an effective and efficient manner while ensuring that all repairs are performed to industry standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a standard of cleanliness and organization to enhance shop appearance
  • Assist with mentoring and training new hires in the department
  • Assist in training and development of service personnel
  • Maintain quality control and professional appearance of all shop service work
  • Promote additional cost savings via repairs and field service, i.e. filters, P.M. programs, system upgrades, etc.
  • Oversee field service technician to schedule all preventative services on customer locations and shop
  • Coordinate with the Equipment Manager to ensure on-time delivery of rental equipment
  • Manage shop assets, including vehicles, machines, installations, tools, and parts room supplies
  • Maintaining budget and monthly expense tracking
  • Monitor workloads, schedule service appointments, and dispatch work orders
  • Documentation of all repairs and monitoring of upcoming inspections and service intervals
  • Diagnosing all machine systems and components
  • Perform wheel end and brake repairs on trailers ranging from 3,500 – 12,000lb axles
  • Ensure that the units are in safe operating condition.
  • Perform basic welding, cutting, and grinding
  • Change oil and filters on machinery
  • Read and understand parts and service books
  • Able to interact professionally and courteously with customers
  • Perform shop labor estimates and quote in-house repairs, and upon approval, purchase the necessary repair parts or replacement components.
  • Communicate when repairs will be completed
  • Performs other duties as required by fleet manager
  • Primary contact for all service-related phone calls for Colorado

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Skills and Abilities

  • 5+ years of industry related experience in the oil and gas industry strongly preferred
  • General knowledge of the rules and regulations in accordance with 49 CFR part 396
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safe working practices
  • Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with vendors
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL / medical card preferred
  • Safeland certification
  • Provide necessary tools to perform job duties
  • Observes safety and security procedures

Education

High School Diploma or GED required, strong math skills required

ASE certifications A1-A8 / T1-T8 preferred

Job Experience

5+ years of industry related experience in the oil and gas industry strongly preferred

5+ years fleet / asset management including performing DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles (semi-trucks/trailers)

Computer Proficiency : Computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs

Training: Provide required training as needed

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements

Capability of lifting 70 lbs. repeatedly

Long periods of standing, driving, crouching, lifting and bending

Capability to work in extreme weather conditions such as heat/cold/wind/rain/snow.

Must pass pre-employment fit test

Travel Requirements

May be required out of town/state. Travel 5 - 10% of time

Pay is Salary and is based on performance, competencies, and seniority - $26 - $35
