Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Machine Shop Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating in the machine shop, cutting material, post processing machined parts, and using various hand tools to assist and produce high-quality precision parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate conventional machine tools (e.g., grinders, drill presses) to produce parts according to proper specifications.
  • Post process, debur, and sandblast machined parts.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and materials based on job requirements.
  • Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain part quality and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, material inconsistencies, and machine malfunctions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Inspect and assemble manufactured parts for final assemblies and delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • General shop tasks including loading and unloading equipment and materials.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Machine Shop Technician or similar role.
  • Experience with general shop tools and precision measuring instruments.
