Job Description:

Quality Inspector to ensure manufactured (machined) parts meet quality standards by inspecting, measuring, and testing them using precision tools, interpreting blueprints, and engineering principles like GD&T. Key duties include performing in-process and final inspections, documenting findings, identifying defects, troubleshooting quality issues. Assist with maintaining equipment and record keeping. Ensure product integrity, assist with preventing defects, and ensuring compliance with industry quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials, components, and finished manufactured products.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections using precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, and technical specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformities or deviations.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineering personnel to address quality issues and initiate corrective actions when applicable.
  • Maintain inspection tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Comply with OSHA and other safety regulations. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to quality system policies, procedures and assist in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum (3) year Inspection Experience.
  • Knowledgeable with ISO9001 & AS9100D.
  • Proficient with Quality Management Systems and application.
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments; Calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, surface plates
  • Must be Fluent in English and general Math
  • Competent with blueprints, drawings, MOT’s and GD&T
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • CMM experience is a plus
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit or stand for extended periods.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
