The Role:
Arnold Magnetic Technologies is hiring Machinists at multiple levels (I to IV) to support the production of precision components used in our high-performance magnetic solutions. Depending on experience and placement, machinists may operate, set up, and program CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and Sodick Wire EDM. Higher level machinists may take on more complex setups, programming, troubleshooting, or mentoring. Each machinist level requires progressively broader skills and responsibilities, and placement will directly influence compensation.
Responsibilities
  • Operateand set up manual and CNC equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and WireEDM.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&T.
  • Inspect parts using precision measurement tools to ensure tolerance accuracy.
  • Adjust machine settings, make offsets, andmaintaintooling and fixtures.
  • Monitormachine performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Maintainsafe, clean, and efficient work practices.
  • Support collaboration and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Higher levels may program CNC equipment, EDM equipment, run complex setups, or provide training support.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
  • Experience with manual or CNC machining (depth varies by level).
  • Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T.
  • Skill using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
  • Shop mathproficiency(geometry, trig).
  • Understanding of feeds, speeds, materials, and tooling.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM or CNC program editing is helpful.
  • Strong attention to detail andproblem-solvingskills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
  • Exposure to oils, coolants, solvents, adhesives, and other industrial chemicals;
  • NOTE: All safety precautions will be used.
  • Work takes place in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • May be exposed to noise; hearing protection asrequired.

Physical Requirements
  • Intermittent or prolonged standing and/or sitting.
  • Repetitive motions and manual handling tasks.
  • Lifting materials up to 20-50 pounds.
