Job description

Tackpoint LP is an established manufacturer that engineers and produces customized bearings and precision-machined solutions for industrial applications. We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Labourer to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.

This is an important support role that helps keep our operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop floor (sweeping, mopping, spill cleanup)
  • Clean machines and surrounding work areas
  • Empty chip bins and garbage bins; dispose of waste properly
  • Organize and maintain yard and exterior areas
  • Assist with basic machine maintenance
  • Load/unload parts from gantry systems
  • Oil and lubricate parts as required
  • Support machinists and other departments as needed
  • Perform general shop duties to support daily operations

Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a machine shop environment
  • Previous shop or industrial experience is an asset, but not required
