About the Opportunity

We Manage HR is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision manufacturing company in Southeast Calgary. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to produce precision components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling and/or turning machines.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Verify machine settings, tooling, and offsets before production.
  • Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and quality specifications.
  • Replace cutting tools and perform basic machine adjustments as required.
  • Monitor machine performance and identify issues affecting quality or productivity.
  • Record production data, inspection results, and maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with programmers, machinists, quality inspectors, and supervisors to achieve production targets.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or machining centres.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
