Position: Maintenance Technician
Work Location: Braselton, GA 30517
Payrate: $20.00 - $29.50/hr DOE
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30 pm. Must be able to train on 1st shift
Dress Code: casual
 
Job Description:
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance process.
 
Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic duties.
  • Troubleshoot faulty machinery and make necessary repairs to production machines.
  • Troubleshot PLC and identify inputs and outputs in Ladder Logic.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 40 pounds.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Document Maintenance and Repairs in GURU.
  • Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.

  • Equipment Maintenance, Technical Understanding, Technical Zeal, Deals with Uncertainty, Basic Safety, Power Tools, Attention to Detail.
Education/experience:
  • Associate degree (A.S) Industrial Maintenance with 2 years’ experience Or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance with 5 years’ experience and currently a licensed electrician.
  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC experience and HVAC.
