Job description

DIRECT PLACEMENT - CNC Machinist - Pay up to $35/hour and up around Anoka,MN,

Responsibilities :

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce medium- to long-run medical parts according to specifications.
  • Perform basic machine setups, including installing tools, setting tool offsets, and adjusting work holding as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements and critical dimensions.
  • Monitor CNC Swiss machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Perform tool changes and offsets during production to maintain part quality and minimize downtime.
  • Inspect parts during and after machining using appropriate measuring tools to ensure they meet medical and customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot basic machining issues related to tooling, offsets, and machine performance and escalate more complex issues when needed.

Essential Skills :

  • At least 2+ years of on-the-job experience running CNC Swiss machines.
  • Experience running Tsugami CNC Swiss machines or similar brands such as Citizen, Star, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 6+ months of experience performing basic setups, including tool changes and offsets on CNC Swiss machines.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints for precision machined parts.
  • Hands-on experience producing precision components, preferably in a medical machining environment.
  • Ability to perform and verify tool offsets, make minor program adjustments as needed, and maintain dimensional accuracy.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Coon Rapids, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $104000.00/yr.

If someone is interested in returning to school for machining – once someone has been employed for 6 months, after that company will reimburse up to $10,000 per year in tuition. Also – once someone has been there 6 months, they can apply for the apprentice program. The apprentice program is up to 2 years long, they learn all the different aspects of the shop – machining, machine setup, quality, finishing, and an exposure to programming and engineering. At the end of 2 years, they can apply for the journeyman program, which essentially makes them one of the “experts” in the shop and would come with a higher pay grade.
