Salary: $20.00 - $24.00

SinaLite is a family owned business which has been operating since 1999. What started as a small 1,200 square-foot print shop which operated a single small AB-Dick printer has blossomed into a company of 180+ employees, containing several million dollars worth of printing equipment across 2 facilities, and achieving a yearly sales revenue of 50+ million with over 20,000+ customers across North America.

As the Machine Operator and a member of the Production Team, you are accountable for:


Responsibilities and Duties:

Machine Operations

  • Perform machine operating and packing functions as noted on work order/job tickets.
  • Operate equipment/ machine to produce orders.
  • Process handwork assembly according to specifications.
  • Retrieve the correct work order and load the job into the machine according to specifications.
  • Input the appropriate configuration based on job specifications and requirements.
  • Visually inspect the job for imperfections and adjust accordingly.
  • Package jobs, complete work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts as necessary and placed in their assigned areas.
  • Record and maintain work/job information onto an activity sheet for tracking purposes.
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns, conduct minor repairs, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Control and adjust machine settings when required.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise and/or report to the Print Supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned.

Equipment and Supplies

  • Clean and maintain equipment and work area following maintenance procedures and update maintenance logs.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of supplies; order and stock as instructed by the Print Supervisor.
  • Inform supervisor of machine/equipment problems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
  • Previous print and/or machine knowledge/experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in operating machinery is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills e.g. working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written, verbal and mathematical skills.
  • Good attention to detail and hand eye coordination.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
