Overview

The Brake Press Operator operates a brake press machine to bend,form, and shape metal sheets and plates. This role involves working in a manufacturingand fabrication environment. This role is critical in the metal fabricationprocess, transforming raw metal sheets into finished products through precisebending and shaping. The role requires technical skills, attention to detail,and a commitment to safety.

Location: This rolewill work from our Manufacturing Shop.

Work Hours: 7:30am -4:00pm

Responsibilitiesย 

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Set up and operation of Hydraulic Brake Press

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Set up and operation of Shear

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Occasional operator of Saw and Iron Worker

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Cut and bend sheet steel components to shopdrawing specifications.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Cut and bend in house parts and ensurequantities are acceptable to meet demand.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Maintain equipment and report any issue toSupervision.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Follow work orders and Service requisitionsand ensure components are completed for scheduled dates

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to read and Interpret ShopDrawings/blueprints
Ability to calculate bend tolerances

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Measuring of parts

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Follow quality control procedures

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Check products for correct shapes, dimensionsand other specifications according to drawings.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Maintain Daily Maintenance Inspection logsfor equipment

Qualifications

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 3+ years Press Brake experience (ideal)

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Must be able or willing to learn to operate aforklift/truck.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Brake press machine set up.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Must pass practical shop test showing abilityto set up and operate Press Brake

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Metal fabrication experience is required.

ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Safety conscience of surrounding machinery
