Job Description Industrial Maintenance Millwright - Full Time Direct Hire Location: Markham Position Type: Full-Time Direct Pay Rate: $51.09/hour Shift Details Initial schedule: Straight Days Flexibility required to transition into a 12-hour continental shift schedule based on business needs Position Summary We are seeking a licensed Industrial Maintenance Millwright to join a high-volume manufacturing maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining industrial production equipment in a continuous process environment. This role requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to support both preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
Key Responsibilities Lead and support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime Perform daily 5S activities and participate in Daily Management System (DMS) meetings Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) before maintenance activities Perform hoisting and rigging activities safely and efficiently Carry out preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems Perform equipment rebuilds, alignments, and precision maintenance tasks Mentor junior maintenance technicians and support operator training initiatives Train operators on Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication, and Tightening (CILT) procedures Collaborate with production teams to identify and eliminate equipment and safety concerns Conduct root cause analysis and breakdown investigations to prevent recurring failures Prepare and improve PM and PdM procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and production areas Respond to off-hour maintenance calls when required Complete maintenance tasks efficiently to support production commitments Equipment Experience Required Candidates should have experience working with most of the following equipment and systems: Pneumatics Hydraulics Conveying systems Air compressors Natural gas systems Automated packaging systems Dust collectors High-volume fans Pumps and piping systems Rigging and hoisting equipment Power transmission systems (motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, etc.) Welding and fabrication Industrial controls and automated machinery Qualifications Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright License (433A) required Strong understanding of safe work practices including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), fall protection, and hazard assessments Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with SAP, TPM, 5S, continuous flow manufacturing, or fiberglass manufacturing considered an asset Willingness to work rotating shifts and flexible hours as required Safety Requirements Safety is a top priority. Candidates must follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE including: Hard hats Safety glasses Hearing protection Respirators Flame-resistant clothing Safety footwear Education College diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience required.
