Job description

Machine Operator

The Machine Operator will be responsible for ensuring that the final product is compliant with all the company's quality standards which includes the reliability, usability and performance of the product. The Machine Operator should be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with the industry and company standards.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Safety: maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping.
  • Inspection activities that include using a PI table, micrometer and ovality gauges.
  • Efficiency in performing the inspection and quality process including skin testing and impact testing.
  • The detection and assisting in the resolutions pertaining to the quality of the product.
  • Investigating any product deemed non-conforming.
  • Ability to make adjustments to the extrusion process
  • Ability to maintain maintenance on the line, including but not limited to, the cleaning of vents.
  • Collaborate and assist with production material trials and new products.
  • Complete proper documentation and quality requirements.
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the operation, safety features, and process steps.
  • Competency in Packager duties.
  • Other duties as delegated.
Skills, Knowledge & Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Machine Operator experience including the Packager criteria.
  • Experience working with PI table, Micrometer, and ovality gauges preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, lift, and perform for long periods.
  • The ability to wear all required PPE including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions
