Job description

Plastinove is seeking a dependable and hands-on Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, inspecting products for quality, and helping ensure production runs safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, comfortable working around industrial machinery, and able to follow established production and safety procedures. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor production machinery during assigned shifts.
  • Monitor machines throughout production to ensure they are running properly.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and quality issues.
  • Identify and report machine alarms, equipment problems, or unusual operating conditions.
  • Perform basic machine adjustments when trained and authorized.
  • Monitor production output and help ensure production targets are met.
  • Complete production, quality, and shift documentation accurately.
  • Maintain proper material flow to production equipment.
  • Assist with machine startups, shutdowns, and production changeovers as needed.
  • Keep machines and surrounding production areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Immediately communicate equipment downtime, quality concerns, or production issues to the Injection Molding Technician or management.
  • Assist other production team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Experience operating injection molding or other industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to recognize product defects and changes in machine performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn injection molding operations and develop additional technical skills.

Experience in plastics, PET preforms, injection molding, or high-volume manufacturing is a plus.
