What You'll Do:
As a Multi Skilled Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a variety of production equipment used in the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality products while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate multiple types of manufacturing machinery.
  • Set up equipment for production runs, including tooling, calibration, and adjustment of machine settings.
  • Perform in-process quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make minor repairs or adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and notify production and maintenance team for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor production flow and machine performance, reporting downtime or inefficiencies.
  • Accurately complete production reports, logs, and material usage records
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to operational procedures and PPE requirements
  • Support team efforts and cross-train on different machines and workstations as needed.
  • Active participation and support of the plant safety program is required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned.

What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or GED required for positions higher than entry level positions; technical training or trade certification is a plus.
  • Previous machine operation role within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate multiple types of machines/equipment and a high aptitude to learn.
  • Mechanical skills and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • Forklift operation experience and RFX Barcoding helpful.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Must pass Basic Skills Assessment.
  • Willingness to work overtime, different shifts, or weekends as required

Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing (8-12 hours per shift), often on hard surfaces.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs., with some positions requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular movement throughout the production floor and between workstations.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, position, and operate machinery controls, tools, and small parts.
  • Regular reaching overhead, bending, crouching, kneeling, and stooping to load machines or access parts.
  • Ability to visually inspect products for quality; requires good near vision and depth perception.
  • Ability to hear audible alarms, machine noises, or communication in a moderately noisy environment.
  • Operation of carts, levers, or manual pallet jacks may be required.
  • Performing repetitive tasks with arms, wrists, or hands throughout the shift.
  • May require climbing ladders and stairs on a semi frequent basis
  • Exposure to industrial noise, machinery, and possibly extreme heat or cold depending on the plant.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots.
