Contract to direct hire (Contract solely for training duration, typically 3 months)
Hours:
3rd shift- Friday-Sunday (6am-6pm)
Location: Jupiter, FL
Compensation: $25-30/hr

Position: Maintenance Technician
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and production operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing shop equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support installation and commissioning of new machinery, tools, and production equipment
Assist in defining equipment specifications, fixtures, and setup requirements
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
Develop and manage preventive maintenance and calibration schedules
Coordinate maintenance activities with supervisors and production leads to minimize downtime
Track equipment performance and plan outages in collaboration with production planning
Maintain spare parts and consumable inventory levels for each machine
Partner with engineering and purchasing teams on equipment acceptance testing and warranty follow-up
Conduct risk assessments for production areas and support safety compliance initiatives
Ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory requirements, including proper labeling and markings
Train operators on proper use and care of equipment and tools
Participate in process improvements, cost reduction efforts, and equipment upgrades
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
5+ years of hands-on experience installing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment
Strong troubleshooting background with both small and large shop machinery
Experience developing maintenance programs and equipment procedures
Familiarity with risk assessments in a production setting
Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
