Job description

Position Summary:
The Machine Operator receives instructions from the Operations Manager or the Team Lead pertaining to the assignments and expectations for the day. The Machine Operator will be trained on the machine or machines in the manufacturing area. The Machine Operator will be required to follow processes and procedures either posted or directed by management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operates cutting machines, threading machines, headers, benders, and a variety of other manufacturing equipment
• Assures their assignments are completed on time
• Responsible for the quality checkpoints on each machine as posted
• Responsible for the safety and housekeeping of their area
• Completes paperwork according to the manager's instructions
• Uses forklifts to load and carry materials
Education and Experience Required:
• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
• Forklift Certification
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
• Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, and successful completion of a forklift training program
• Ability to identify parts to be processed on their machine
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills & Mathematical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:
• Must be able to lift to 75 pounds 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environments
• Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
