Job Duties
  • Perform structural welding in a shipyard environment.
  • Identify and follow the appropriate Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).
  • Safely operate welding equipment.
  • Complete assigned welding tasks while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
  • Move and organize materials as needed to support production.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned by supervision.
Weld TestCandidates must successfully complete:
  • Written welding test
  • Hands-on weld test
    • 1-inch plate
    • 12-inch weld
    • Ceramic tape backing
    • Vertical and overhead welding positions

Key Requirements:
  • Preferred: 6+ years of structural welding experience
  • Must have experience with MIG welding
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered if they can successfully pass the weld test
  • Must be proficient in operating welding equipment
  • Must be able to read and follow welding procedures
  • Must pass both the written and practical welding tests

Shifts:
  • Monday-Friday 7am-5pm
  • OT is available
