Job purpose

Machine Operator-I is responsible for running all aspects on a single machine on the production floor. This position will need to prepare the machines, inspect parts for quality, perform routine maintenance and adjustments, accurate record keeping and training employees to be back-up operators.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Training new employees and back-up operators
  • Follow spec sheets
  • Prepare machines for production runs by setting them up and adjusting them.
  • Monitor machines while they are running to identify any issues or malfunctions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to keep machines in good condition.
  • Check the output of their machines to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Must follow all safety procedures and wear the required protective gear. They should also be knowledgeable about how to handle machinery and chemicals safely. keep their work area clean and safe.
  • Keep activity logs and production paperwork.
  • Follow direction of shift leadership and asks questions if uncertain.
  • Input required data into systems such as ERP and Safety Chain
  • Ability to learn new tasks and grow within a continuing growing environment


Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of machine operating experience.
  • At least 1 year of production experience.
  • Previous production line or machine operator experience with Cavana, Enrobers, and Matrix machines.
  • Ability to learn PanelView interfaces and operate state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Ability to provide proper equipment maintenance, servicing, and frequent cleaning as required.
  • Chocolate/tempering experience is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Proven ability to operate specialized manufacturing equipment efficiently. Strong attention to detail regarding quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Experience in maintaining detailed production logs and data entry.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others and support team productivity.

Working conditions

  • Must be able to work any/all shifts as directed
