Machine Operator
MUSH: Founded in 2015, we manufacture, distribute, and market health food products that meet the needs of modern-day consumers. Our first product line of ready-to-eat overnight oats pioneers a new category for the breakfast occasion, offering a healthy, satiating, and convenient alternative to traditional morning meals.

Role Description
Machine Operators are responsible for assembling machines, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting and leading small teams in the production room. Machine Operators assist the Batcher in ensuring all filling of product is done in specification and compliance to production and quality standards.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage filling and production of MUSH products, in accordance to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch quality control procedures
  • Ensures all ingredients, work-in-progress, supplies, tools and equipment are used, cleaned, and stored according to the SOPs
  • Execute in lot control, production paperwork accuracy, and inventory control procedures for all packaging materials
  • Work with maintenance to ensure all machinery is operating efficiently and well maintained, perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Leads 3-5 people in production room to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality
  • Champions production efficiency, continuous improvement, and a food safety and quality culture
  • Perform the proper sanitation and cleaning of processing and production equipment

Tactical Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) and safety regulations, technical experience in machine mechanics and equipment troubleshooting
  • Self starter, with a desire to learn, grow, and evolve as a professional
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail-oriented
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, team-focused and with the ability to hold others accountable

Physical and Work Related Requirements:
  • Standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Bending and lifting up to 50 LB
  • Ability to handle allergens including peanuts and treenuts
