Machine Operator Jobs in Findlay, OH (NOW HIRING)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Has a fundamental responsibility to ensure product safety and quality s it applies to all duties listed below:
• Will have working knowledge of all the blowmolding platforms in the plant.
• Will possess the skills and knowledge required to safely and efficiently operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain processes and running clean, safe, production lines.
• Has responsibility to repair and/or provide information to the maintenance department and supervisor, if a line is down and a maintenance person is required for the repair. Working with maintenance to solve issues quickly and get line back into production.
• Coordinate operator(s) break time covering this time with overlap or extending operators coverage across more lines during the break period.
• Communication to Supervisors and/or manager of any extended machine downtime and/or manager of any extended machine downtime and/or productivity issues.
• Assessment and coordination of new operator training. Making sure proper documentation is being completed of all operator progressions.
• Fill in the Supervisory position if the supervisor is on vacation or for some reason is out of the plant.
• Evaluates and takes appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment with established standards and guidelines.
• Inspect work areas and look for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Effectively use verbal and written communications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
SKILLS:
Required:
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Work involves continuous lifting, bending, reaching and twisting.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable):
This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
