Job description

SUMMARY
Responsible for manually operating safety door on molding machine to extract molded parts or load molding fixtures/hand loads, to produce plastic parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must remain at machine for duration of shift as required except for scheduled break times
  • Required to perform secondary operations on molded parts to include trimming with knives and/or clippers, use of hand or power tools to separate molded parts from hand loads
  • Capable of shutting down a machine in an emergency
  • Clean all auxiliary equipment to include hoppers, grinders and dryers as needed
  • Identify and understand material tickets
  • Safely answer alarms on the machine
  • Shut off water to the mold in case of a large leak
  • Collect first shots and last shots
  • Correctly complete Production Orders and Machine Cards
  • Use limit samples/workmanship standards properly
  • Understand and perform rework procedures
  • Be available to work overtime as needed.
  • If something doesn't seem quite right question it and report it to your supervisor immediately.
  • To adhere to all company policies regarding conduct, safety practices, and job performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
