What You'll Do:
As a Tooling Toolcrib Attendant you'll be part of our manufacturing team located in Decorah, IA. You'll get to:
Issues tools and prints to manufacturing personnel and maintains storage of toolcrib area. Assists and maintains stocking of the Cribmaster equipment.

Toolcrib Organization:
1. Ensures all tools for header, threader, shavers, etc., are stored properly in the toolcrib by placing tooling in the correct bin.
2. Ensures all machine repair parts are properly stored in the toolcrib.
3. Ensures that all tools are properly labeled (bar code) before storing in bins.
4. Maintains a neat and orderly crib and adheres to cleaning schedules.
5. Maintains the header setup sheets by assuring the form was completed and updated properly. Files setup sheet for future use.
6. Scans completed Manufacturing Prints into the System
7. Print and Issue Manufacturing Prints for Production Orders.
Purchasing Requisitions:
1. Upon supervisor request, orders manufacturing items for specific departments by entering proper information into the Purchasing system. Some departments require safety stock be maintained on certain manufacturing items.
2. When the manufacturing items are received, verifies the proper items and quantities.
3. Delivers manufacturing items to proper department.
Issuing Tooling:
1. Using the tooling picklist, issues tools through the toolcrib window or by delivering to the operators.
2. Ensures that all tooling counts are correct.
3. Expedites tooling by contacting Purchasing to ensure tooling is in inventory.
4. Reports tooling concerns and shortages promptly to supervisor and Purchasing.
5. Calculates tooling averages for operators using the tooling system and issues with the setup.
6. Substitutes tooling with alternates when necessary. If the substitution is permanent, completes Tooling Change Request (TCR) form.
7. Issues machine repair parts as needed.
8. Maintains the following forms for use by manufacturing areas:
A. Tooling Picklist
B. Header Setup sheet
C. Tooling Rework (green) form
D. Changing Tools Before Failure form
E. Substitute Tooling form
Tooling Inventory:
1. Performs cycle counts of tooling periodically.
2. Duties may vary per shift.
3. Gathers tooling and delivers and receives tools, from EDM toolroom.
4. Put items from Receiving, away into proper bins.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadperson.
Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Required Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
3. Good organizational abilities.
4. Ability to work well with people.
5. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
6. Accurate keyboarding skills (45 words per minute).
7. Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
1. Knowledge of gaging methods.
2. Ability to read blueprints.
3. Experience on toolroom equipment.
