Job Description

Light Equipment Operator 1 - 2nd Shift (approx. 3:00pm to 11:00pm) starting at $16.64 per hour, plus a $2.00 per hour premium shift differential!

  • Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment
  • Pack product at the press
  • Set up and adjusts machine and equipment for production runs
  • Clean, lubricate and maintain machine to ensure its optimum operation
  • May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed
  • May coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and may provide training for new team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Requires familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment
  • Requires skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
  • Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may to carry 15 lbs. and up to 40 lbs., push and pull up to 40 lbs., twist, stand, walk, reach, and grip/grasp throughout the shift. Employees are also required to frequently lift 15 lbs. and up to 40 lbs., and squat, and kneel. Lastly, employees are required to have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks. Additional Information

Position Hours: 2nd shift (approx. 3:00pm to 11:00pm). Qualified candidates must be able to work afternoon and evening hours. There is a $2.00 per hour premium shift differential.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.64 to $18.64 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
