Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Header Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating multi-die progressive header machines used to produce high-strength fasteners and components to exact specifications. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a background in operating and maintaining multi-die header equipment in a production environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate 4- or 5-die progressive header machines to manufacture precision parts according to engineering drawings and production requirements.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing work orders, and process specifications to determine required tools, materials, and machine settings.

  • Install, align, and adjust tooling, dies, and attachments to ensure accurate and consistent part production.

  • Inspect parts during production using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

  • Monitor machine operation, make necessary adjustments, and perform minor tooling rework or preventive maintenance as needed.

  • Maintain accurate production and quality records; enter data into tracking systems as required.

  • Train and assist junior operators or trainees on proper setup, operation, and safety procedures.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, and equipment performance.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 4+ years of experience operating multi-die progressive headers in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred.
