Job description

Machine Operator – 2nd Shift

Lobos Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator for an established organic meat company located in the Hayward area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machine operating experience, strong knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

This is a Temp-to-Perm opportunity with an ASAP start.

Position Details

  • Position: Machine Operator
  • Location: Hayward, CA
  • Shift: 2nd Shift
  • Schedule: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour
  • Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
  • Start Date: ASAP

Core Duties

  • Operate Equipment: Start, stop, monitor, and operate production machinery to ensure proper performance.
  • Follow SOPs: Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all safety and quality requirements.
  • Maintain Documentation: Accurately record batch information, production counts, equipment checks, and cleaning logs.
  • Troubleshoot Equipment: Make basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas according to GMP and sanitation standards.
  • Quality & Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant production environment at all times.

Key Qualifications

  • Previous Machine Operator experience, preferably in food, meat, or organic food manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of GMPs and food safety practices.
  • Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and make machine adjustments.
  • Knowledge of proper gowning, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work in a regulated production environment.
  • Experience working with or around USDA inspectors is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Must be dependable and willing to work the assigned 2nd shift schedule.
