Job Description
The Press Operator is responsible for operating hydraulic compression presses to mold and vulcanize rubber products used in agricultural equipment. This role ensures safe, efficient production while meeting quality standards and production targets.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities
• Operate hydraulic press equipment and control panels safely and efficiently
• Load and unload molds using hoists, chains, hooks, and pneumatic equipment
• Perform molding, curing, and demounting processes for rubber products
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and document equipment checks
• Use trimming and finishing tools to complete products
• Follow all safety procedures including use of guards and emergency stops
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or production concerns
Additional Duties
• Assist other departments and production areas as needed
• Support material handling, shipping, and inventory tasks
• Perform rework and quality checks on products
• Maintain housekeeping and clean work areas
• Complete all other assigned tasks
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and efficiency
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift or equipment license as needed or required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (team lift required when necessary)
- Ability to stand and work in a physically demanding environment
- Must wear required PPE at all times
- Ability to work safely around moving mechanical parts
- Work in a hot environment
- Maintain regular attendance
- Ability to push/pull 50-150 lbs. on a wheeled cart; static push/pull: 20 lbs.
- Pinch minimum 6 lbs.
- Grasp minimum 35 lbs
- Full range of motion required: cervical, shoulders, elbow, wrist, fingers, hands, trunk twist, and feet
- Working Conditions: moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, static shock, burns, go up heights,
odors, dust, protrusions, narrow access, good vision and hearing
