Job Description

As an Associate Machine Operator, you will have the opportunity to utilize the latest mills, lathes, mill-turns, and Swiss machines to produce close-tolerance parts for our medical products.  Key roles will be to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and assist the operations team in efficient production.

This role has great potential for growth and learning in a safe, clean work environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

This is an associate level role. Responsibilities may include:

  • Operate various manual and CNC machines that are already set up and the process is clearly defined.

  • Follow written and verbal instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings after instruction.

  • Recognize machining or manufacturing problems to produce defect free parts.

  • Accurately perform measurement tasks utilizing measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.

  • Learn and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment and machines as required.

Work Experience Requirements: 

  • Previous experience with basic metrology (calipers, micrometers) preferred.

  • Basic blueprint reading experience preferred.

Knowledge Requirements: 

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings, use shop math, and operate various types of production machines. Ability to produce parts at the rate established for a particular operation. Ability to accurately use basic machine shop measuring devices.
