Arthrex Manufacturing, located in Ave Maria, FL. is actively seeking a Third Shift, Machine Operator Associate, I&R (Imaging and Resection) to produce superior products following Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. machining processes and procedures. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.
3rd shift - (Sunday- Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:30 am)
If hired for this position, you will be required to attend the Fundamentals Class your second or third week of employment, depending on scheduling availability. The class will be extended an additional week based upon passing. Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • With direct supervision follow the written process and operate a variety of I&R machines and special processes
  • Receives work order and verifies that the components are correct
  • Receives material and loads machine or step feeder
  • Performs and records line clearance
  • Verifies the machine is running the correct program
  • Measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments
  • Interact in a Manufacturing environment with a variety of personnel and shift changeover on a daily basis
  • Confirms that the inspection process is kept at AQLS C=0
  • Example: check parts every 30 minutes
  • Maintains good quality and production output
  • Sort/rework parts as required
  • Assists with other operations as required
  • Data entry in the SAP system
  • Maintain their work area in a clean orderly condition and follows safety procedures
  • Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately
  • Recommends process improvements to Supervisor

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Mechanical aptitude. Ability to use measuring tools. Must pass blueprint reading class.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
Physical Demands:
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
