Job description

Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and is currently recruiting for a Lineperson to work from our manufacturing facility located in Algona, WA on 1st Shift.
As a Lineperson, the candidate is responsible for moving product from the packing area to the warehouse, they also assist in preparing lines at the beginning of the day and during changes in product being packaged. This position works on dayshift from Monday- 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM and Tuesday to Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and working Saturdays required during busy season.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned.
  • Operates the robotic palletizing equipment including set up and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and records of production.
  • Program's equipment to sort boxes based on schedule. Communicates schedule information to production lead and packaging machine operators.
  • Verifies pallets are in good working condition.
  • Does basic troubleshooting i.e. remove product / pallet jams.
  • Prepares pallet tickets, ensuring accurate data.
  • Moves finished product to specified area using forklift or pallet jack.
  • Assists in preparing electronic case labels for manual packing lines.
  • Trained in Lock out Tag out procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Requires the ability to work proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.

Salary Range: $22.25
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain and hold a forklift license.
  • Experience working in food processing facility preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under constant pressure of production line environment.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.

During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours. In addition to PTO, Utz offers 6 paid company holidays each year.
