About the Role

We're looking for a dependable and skilled Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used to cut and shape materials. This position plays a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.


You'll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a team dedicated to precision, safety, and continuous improvement.


What You'll Do

  • Set up machinery to meet specifications for various work orders
  • Identify and prepare materials needed for production
  • Use ironworker, radial arm saw, plasma cutter, press brake, and corner notcher to cut and shape metal materials
  • Operate Plasma CAM machines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and bills of material
  • Operate a forklift to move materials safely and efficiently
  • Follow all safety rules and ensure materials are properly handled
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Train and assist coworkers in machine operations as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Work Environment

This position is located in a manufacturing environment and involves regular exposure to:

  • Production machinery and moving equipment
  • High temperatures, noise, and occasional chemical or solvent exposure (with required PPE provided)
  • Physical activity including standing, lifting, bending, and stretching throughout the shift

 What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience in a related manufacturing or machine operation role
  • Plasma CAM experience required
  • Working knowledge of basic computer operations

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Proficiency in reading tape measures and setting up dies
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate powered cutting and material-handling equipment
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and must be able to repeatedly twist/bend/kneel/climb/pull/reach/stretch/feel.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to read 8ths and 16ths on a tape measure (candidates will be tested)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Clear and effective communication skills

Employment Details

  • Shift: 1st Shift, 7AM to 3:30PM, must have ability to work as late as 5:30PM, and work some Saturdays as needed. Reliable/flexible transportation is a must.
