Job description

Position: Senior Lathe Operator
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Shift: To be discussed
Location: Indianapolis, IN

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Senior Lathe Operator to start IMMEDIATELY at $25.00/hour. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate lathe machinery and related equipment per production specs
  • Adjust machine speed, feeds, tooling, and settings for different materials
  • Read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders accurately
  • Mark reference points on raw materials before machining
  • Install cutting tools, drills, and prepare equipment for operation
  • Secure materials in the lathe and perform turning, drilling, and cutting
  • Monitor and adjust machining processes to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Inspect finished parts for dimensions, appearance, and standards
  • Identify issues, perform corrections, and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Conduct routine maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain accurate records of production, inspection, and maintenance activities
  • Follow all safety procedures and respond promptly to emergencies
  • Provide training or guidance on lathe operation when assigned
  • Communicate with supervisors about production needs and equipment concerns

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating lathes or similar machinery
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and instructions
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tools, and machine settings
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
