ABOUT THE ROLE
The Machine Operator position is responsible for operating production equipment, monitoring overall product quality, and required to assist other operators when necessary.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Assist in maintaining, monitoring, and controlling the finished product within the guidelines set in the product specifications.
  • Report all problems and equipment issues that may inhibit production to the immediate supervisor.
  • May be required to operate a lift truck, power, or air tool to accomplish designated tasks.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and the overall production process.
  • Work with other trades personnel and management personnel to maintain continuous plant operations/performance.
  • Delegate tasks to roofing production employees.
  • Provide feedback to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure all product testing is done and recorded.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Assist with maintenance when necessary.
  • Assist with the start-up of the Production Line.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential in this role.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma or general education degree
Field of Study Preferred: NA
Required Work Experience: At least two years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • General knowledge of the production process and operating various types of equipment is valuable.
  • Must have strong communication skills working within a diverse population.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
